Q: Do you have a diet that you follow? If so, has it been working for you?
A: Generally, during the year I do have a strict diet that I stick to, which really just involves brown rice, brocilli, chicken breasts, a lot of greens, spinach, boiled eggs, fish, no red meat, no bread, no white rice, lots of fruits. I have a daily meal plan. But after September, as soon as spring came, I relaxed a bit and was back to burgers and ribs but it wasn't a big deal.
Q: What would you say has been the Interview of the year for you in 2017, in terms of the people you've interviewed?
A: This is a difficult one because we've interviewed so many amazing people. But if I had to bring it down to one, it would have to be when I was still on the smash and grab breakfast show. We had a feature called Ask The CEO where we chat to some of the greatest young leaders, and the telephonic interview we had with the former CEO of FNB, Michael Jordaan. I can still recall some of the profound words of wisdom he shared with us which I take with me to this day.
Q: It's the festive season and most people look forward to the food they've been missing from home. What meal are you looking forward to having this festive season?
A: From September onwards I eat everything and anything I want to eat. I'm a big fan of inyama yentloko, AmaNqina and all that good stuff. I'm looking forward to my brothers' gammon and most of all I'm just looking forward to being with my family, it's gonna be dope.
Q: Any new year's resolution?
A: I'm looking to use my time more wisely. Invest more in myself and invest more in my son and doing more of what makes me happy. I need to get back to good habits of writing goals and plans down and actually achieving them, I want to start saving more.
